I launched in 2008, building a close working relationship with a range of independent companies in the gift and homewares sector throughout the UK. These are creative people, with strong ideas, great products yet lack the valuable time to generate new product collections, packaging design, build consistent branding and effective art direction through photography and stand design.

 

GOT TIME FOR THE backstory?

Ok, so after graduating with a Hons degree in 3-D design, I moved to the big smog and embarked on a colourful career path weaving through the visual arts including tour managing pop groups, producing fashion shows & then onto producing outdoor concerts, settling to live in Sydney. 

 

Upon returning to the UK in 2000 I came back to my roots of 3-D design, starting WISH... creations, designing and manufacturing luxury homewares, winning several industry awards for branding & product design. I supplied over 120 independent retailers with bespoke work commissioned by top-end brands including Estee Lauder, Mulberry, Selfridges, The Conran Shop & Takashimaya.

 

After gaining this extensive experience of taking a product right through the process; initial concept - product design - manufacturing - branding - packaging design and finally art direction to meet the target market, I really felt it was the time to shed the manufacturing side. I sold my business to streamline my focus on my love of free-lance design... and Heidi Bell Design was born.​
